Hey, it's Amber DeLauer, your HYLETE Health Advisor, and I'm going to give you three quick nutrition hacks to get lean in 30 days.
Us ladies have it a little bit tougher sometimes. We have extra hormones that we have to combat, and thyroids that make it so our metabolisms are, well, a little slower sometimes. So that's why I came up with these three quick nutrition tips that will help you shift how you diet.
One, replace sweet with savory. At first, it may seem like swapping out that bowl of fruit for some almond butter is counterproductive because it has more calories, but the blood sugar spike that you're getting from that fruit is making you hungrier later on. Try replacing anything sweet with something salty, even if it seems a little bit odd at first.
Two, try adding nutritional yeast to some foods to give it a cheesy taste. For example, I add it to broccoli to make it a little bit more palatable. You'd be surprised the amount of substance it adds to simple foods. Just a tablespoon or two does the trick.
And lastly, two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar after having carbs will make the impact of those carbs about 25% less. That's right, some simple ACV reduces your blood sugar by about a quarter in a matter of minutes.
